Why isn't my Watch app launching or showing content?

If your Watch app isn't working correctly, try the following to resolve this issue:
Make sure the app is installed on your Watch by following these steps:
Open the Watch app on your iPhone
Go to the My Watch tab
Tap the app name
Confirm the toggle "Show App on Apple Watch" is activated
Restart the Apple Watch by following these steps:
Hold the side button
Tap "Power off"
Wait a few seconds
Turn it back on
