How do I troubleshoot Android notifications?
If you’re experiencing issues with your notifications, follow these steps:
💡 NOTE: After following these steps, we recommend restarting your device to make sure the changes are applied.
Android version 6.0.1+:
Go to your device's Settings
Select "Battery"
Tap the Overflow menu icon
Tap "Battery Optimization"
Tap the downward caret
Tap "All apps"
Tap the app you're using
Tap "Don’t optimize"
Android version 7+:
Go to your device's Settings
Select "Apps"
Find and tap the app you're using
Tap "Battery"
Tap "Battery Optimization"
Select the Apps not optimized option and change it to All apps
Find the app you're using in the list and set it to "Don’t optimize"
Android version 9:
Go to your device's Settings
Tap "Battery"
Tap "Adaptive Battery"
Tap "Restricted apps", and make sure the app you're using isn't on the list
Android version 12:
Go to your device's Settings
Tap "Apps"
Find and tap the app you're using
Tap "Battery"
Tap "Battery Optimization"
Select the Apps not optimized option and change it to All apps
Find the app you're using in the list and set it to "Unrestricted"
Huawei:
Check your Power plan:
Go to Settings
Tap "Advanced Settings"
Tap "Battery manager"
Tap "Power plan" and make sure it's set to "Performance"
Check your Battery settings:
Go to Settings
Tap "Apps"
Find the app you're using
Tap "Battery"
Make sure "Power-intensive prompt" and "Keep running after screen off" are turned on
Check your Optimizations:
Go to Settings
Tap "Apps"
Tap "Advanced" at the bottom
Tap "Ignore optimizations"
Tap "Allowed"
Tap "All apps"
Find the app you're using on the list
Set it to "Allow"
HTC:
Go to Settings
Tap "Power"
Tap "Battery optimization"
Tap "Not optimized"
Tap "All apps" to see the complete list of apps
Find the app you're using and tap it
Tap "Don't optimize"
Tap "Done"
Meizu:
Check your Performance settings:
Go to Settings
Tap "Advanced Settings"
Tap "Battery manager"
Tap "Power plan" and make sure it's set to "Performance"
Check your Protected apps:
Go to Settings
Tap "Advanced settings"
Tap "Battery manager"
Tap "Protected apps"
Find the app you're using and make sure it's set to "Protected"
Check your Battery settings:
Go to Settings
Tap "Apps"
Find the app you're using and tap it
Tap "Battery"
Make sure "Power-intensive prompt" and "Keep running after screen off" are turned on
Nokia:
Go to Settings
Tap "Apps"
Tap "See all apps"
Open the menu in the upper right corner
Tap "Show system"
Find "Battery protection" in the list, select it and Force close it. It will remain stopped until the next restart and background apps should work normally using the standard Android battery optimizations.
OnePlus:
Check your Special access settings:
Go to "Settings"
Tap "Apps"
Tap the gear icon
Tap "Special access"
Tap "Battery optimization" and make sure it's turned off
Check your Battery optimization settings for the app:
Go to Settings
Tap "Battery"
Tap "Battery optimization"
Use the menu at the top to switch to the "All apps" list
Tap the app you're using
Make sure "Don't optimize" is turned on
Check your general Battery optimization settings:
Go to Settings
Tap "Battery
Tap "Battery optimization"
Tap the three dots
Tap "Enhanced optimization" or "Advanced optimization"
Samsung:
Galaxy S8 and later:
Whitelist the app in App Power Monitor:
Go to Settings
Tap "Device maintenance"

You’ll see a list of your most frequently used apps at the bottom
Scroll all the way down to see the "Unmonitored" apps. These are apps that you specifically want to exclude (whitelist).
From the "Unmonitored" apps menu, tap the 3-dot menu to add or remove apps from the list
